Students should be realistic about their abilities to function in a high-stress environment.\u00a0 It is difficult to live abroad and, rather than disappearing in the new surroundings, conditions like depression and eating disorders are often exacerbated by a stay abroad.\u00a0 Psychological counseling services are available in Spain, and if you find yourself in need, you should ask our on-site staff for referrals.\u00a0 English-languag<\/span>e, in-person <\/span>counseling is limited outside of Madrid. Students with particular concerns are encouraged to consult with International Programs at Middlebury College prior to departure.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
