Working in Italy

It is usually very difficult for non-EU citizens to find a job in Italy, whether professional, clerical, skilled, unskilled, full- or part-time, primarily because there are more job-seekers than there are jobs. Furthermore, a non-EU citizen may not work in Italy without a work visa, and ordinarily a work permit is not issued by the Italian government in any instance when a foreigner is seeking to fill a position for which Italian citizens are qualified and available. In light of this, students are urged not to come to Italy with the hope of finding work.
