Please consult the School in Italy calendar below (both for the Sede and for the University of Florence), as the dates may change after the publication of this handbook. Please keep in mind that dates may change even after your arrival in Italy.
You must remain in Italy until classes are over and you have taken your final exams. If you choose to leave before the established end date of the program you may forfeit credit for the entire semester.
Important Information for Arranging Travel
1) It is highly recommended that students adhere to the arrival date so as to settle in before orientation as they must attend all meetings during orientation. Due to Covid-19, quarantine periods are uncertain so we ask that all students arrive on the date indicated. 2) Attendance at orientation is mandatory. During the orientation period students should plan to stay in their city of study for the weekend as meetings may be scheduled during that time. Some or all of the orientation maybe online. 3) A detailed timetable of orientation meetings and events will be sent to students via email 4) Please note that test, midterm and final exam schedules will vary by course. Students should not make travel plans until they have registered for courses at the beginning of the semester in Italy and are aware of the calendar. Classes, exams or assignments will not be rescheduled to accommodate travel.
