Medical Insurance
Students participating in the Middlebury School in Italy are automatically enrolled in an international health insurance plan for the duration of the program through GeoBlue International Health Insurance. This coverage is mandatory and cannot be waived. Students who are required to enroll in insurance through their home institution will not be eligible for a refund or other recompense for the cost of coverage through the Middlebury Schools Abroad.
The GeoBlue insurance plan provides up to $250,000 of medical coverage (accident/sickness) with zero deductible. There is also medical evacuation and repatriation coverage. Coverage begins on the first day of your program abroad and ends on the last, with the option to purchase an additional 30 days of coverage by contacting the insurance provider directly.
