Packing List

The following should be brought with you in your carry-on bag to avoid any complications should your checked luggage be lost or delayed:

  • Passport and photocopy of ID pages
  • Visa and photocopy
  • Invitation letter from your host university
  • Airline ticket/itinerary (and photocopy)
  • International Student Identity Card (ISIC) (optional)
  • Proof of insurance from GeoBlue
  • Cash (U.S. dollars) for the initial taxi ride from the airport, plus any incidental expenses before exchanging dollars into local currency
  • Debit and credit cards
  • Medications in original containers and copies of prescriptionsCC - Suitcase
  • Phone numbers of the School Abroad staff and your host family
  • A change of clothes (in the event your baggage is lost or delayed)
  • Travel-sized, essential toiletries (e.g., toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.)
  • Take and save photos of the following documents on your phone:
    • Passport ID pages
    • Student visa
    • Proof of GeoBlue health insurance
    • Immunization records including Covid-19 vaccine
