Housing
Students who are participating in partial year study abroad programs must depart from/arrive on campus on the approved dates. Failure to do so will result in sanctions and fines so please take notice of emails from Residential Life and plan accordingly based on the college’s official dates.
Students returning to campus for winter and/or spring term will be contacted by Residential Life in the fall and asked to provide their housing preferences for when they return. Options include being pulled into a double, suite or apartment by the other students living in that space, living in specialty housing (please contact the house directly to be added to their roster), or being placed into a space by Residential Life based on the preferences shared. We are not able to host a room selection process for students returning, as available space changes up until room assignments are released. Students should be prepared to live in a double room as singles are limited. Students with housing accommodations should be in touch with the appropriate office directly:
- Medical housing accommodations: Disability Resource Center
- Religious requests: Scott Center for Spiritual and Religious Life
- Housing considerations related to Civil Rights and Title IX: Civil Rights and Title IX Office
Fall term housing processes typically begin in February and continue through April. Students should pay attention to their Middlebury email account for related messages and also refer to the room selection website for details.
Make sure your finances are settled prior to room draw as unpaid fees may prevent you from participating in class registration and room selection processes. Questions about your financial status must be directed to the Student Financial Services office; please contact them in a timely manner if you have concerns.
